Our Aims and Programmatic Focus

From 2023 to 2028, our Empowered Strategy will focus on three programmes, namely: i. Livelihood for high quality of life; ii. Sustainable and inclusive WASH; iii. Green living and environment

All the three programmes will be implemented in an integrated approach to ensure Climate Change resilience leading to stronger adaptation for Climate Change.

To contribute to improved productivity, wealth creation and quality of life within
communities by 2028

This will be achieved through the following outcomes:

1. Increased income, food security and nutrition for vulnerable communities by
2028

2. Increased all year-round productivity through innovative, inclusive practices
in communities by 2028

To contribute to improved access to sustainable, clean, safe Water, adequate Sanitation and good Hygiene that is affordable for all especially the vulnerable communities by 2028

This will be achieved through the following outcomes:

1. Increased access to affordable and inclusive WASH services in vulnerable
communities by 2028

2. Enhanced inclusive local private sector participation for sustainable WASH
programming by 2028

3. Strengthened Integrated Water Resource Management planning and
implementation capacity at local level by 2028

To contribute to promotion of a low carbon, environmentally friendly and climate resilient society by 2028

This will be achieved through the following outcomes:

1. Enhanced adoption of low carbon and environmentally friendly practices and technologies for a climate resilient society by 2028

2. Strengthened formulation of equitable and inclusive Climate Change friendly
policies and instruments at district, national and global levels by 2028.
